Do You Remember When... |
.... here are some Faded Blues who showed up to support the BPRFC at the recent Duckett Memorial game which was played at Police Field. The BPRFC fielded a 1stXV, a 2ndXV and a Women's team in the three games against "The Rest". Only the BPRFC 2ndXV were triumphant but a substantial effort was put in by all, including the supporters as you can see below. |

.... the BPRFC went on tour to Montreal in 1988. Perhaps not, I guess that was only 20 years ago and many of you were well past your prime by then. I have vague recollections of parts of that trip. I was fortunate enough to be given a 24 hour tour of all the licensed premises (and two or three unlicensed premises) in Montreal by none other than the Montreal Irish RFC stalwart Sid Sanford. The rest of the week was just a blur, although I do do remember coming across some strange furnishings in the hotel elevator. Below, in blue, is the team that played against one of the Montreal University sides as a warm up for the match against Montreal Irish RFC. The photo was provided by Dick Parker. |
